The other day, I walked into a washroom in an office building. As I stepped in, the lights came on. Technology! Technology!
However, as I was peeing, the lights went off.
I guess my peeing time is longer than the average person.
Or the guys who designed the lights skipped their statistics lessons.
Either the sample they used to determine how long the lights stay on was not representative. Or they used the mean but forgot about variance.
Anyway, after completing my assignment, I started shaking my pencil.
Voila! The lights came back on.
