The man gifted with a good imagination is capable of reaching the ether and conjuring up some magic.
He can write poems that stir the heart, paint images that pierce the conscience and even birth phenomenal ideas.
However, the gift of imagination comes with a curse, Melancholia.
His imagination lifts him to the mountaintop, but also drags him down to the deepest valley.
Beneath his charm and artistry is an insipid undertone of self-loathing.
Most of his days are spent in the pits of sadness, ruminating on his wretchedness.
Only when he is fully immersed in his craft does he find some relief from Melancholia.
