Waiting for death

We are all going to die.

If one contemplates their own death, a troubling question arises: why bother doing anything at all, if we are going to die anyway?

When we were young and wise, in the middle of playing an exciting game with friends, well past curfew and with unfinished household chores, we would suddenly remember the punishment waiting for us at home.

In that moment, we were faced with a dilemma; to stop playing, run home and beg for mercy or keep playing and face the music.

Often, we chose to keep playing. Because, why not? We were already in trouble anyway.
Plus the game was too exciting to quit halfway.

And when we got home. We took the punishment like ninjas, with a smirk on our face.

Life provides a playground. Play.

For there is nothing to do wither thou goest.

Life is life
