Fortune in her very nature is capricious.
She grants us various gifts : possessions, status and reputation.
And also takes them away on a whim.
The wheel of fortune is always turning.
Today up, tomorrow down.
She comes with two jars, one full of blessings, another full of calamities.
If we draw from the jar of blessings, we must be willing to draw from the jar of calamities in equal measure.
Fortune’s gifts are only borrowed garments, they keep us warm for a time.
In due course, the debt collector comes to reclaim her property.
Life is life
