When we ask for help

When we ask for help, we really don’t want the help, we want some relief.

We don’t want a cure for our problems, we want them managed.

We don’t want the bitter truth, give us some strawberry-flavoured poison.

We really don’t want to change the room, we only want the furniture rearranged.

We don’t want the thorn in the flesh removed, give us painkillers.

We don’t want the wound stitched, we want it covered with elastoplast.

We don’t want surgery, only a slight incision.

We don’t want to see, we just want to hear.

We dont want to undertand, we want it dumbed down.

We dont want to climb the mountain, we want it to come to us.

Don’t take us too seriously, we are not buyers, only window shopping.

For if we really wanted help, we would stretch out our arms, until they come out of their sockets.
