The child and the madman are the only free human beings.
Only a madman is allowed to speak the truth.
Anyone else who tries to speak the truth will be run out of town.
Only a child is allowed to ask questions.
Anyone else who tries to ask questions will be met with brute force.
The madman gets away with truth because he is not taken seriously.
Innocence helps the child to get away with piercing questions.
The madman has broken free of the stranglehold of society.
And for this, he pays a price. He is sent to the sanitarium or banished to the streets.
The child does not know what society is. But he will find out soon.
For by the age of 10 the child is annihilated.
And replaced by the well adjusted human.
Indeed, inside every human organism, there lives a child and a madman.
But the child is comatose and the madman is in a straitjacket.
