Once in a lifetime

A chick is hatched, the farmer feeds and takes care of it for many days.

As the chick grows into a chicken, it gets used to the farmer’s care, believing it is safe

However, one day, a once in a lifetime event occurs, the farmer takes a knife and severs it’s head.

In that moment, all dreams, fears and desires of the chicken come to an end.

Our lives are no different, we live for a while, then we don’t.

We are only flowers blooming for a season

We are crops, ripe for harvest

Behold, the farmer with a sickle

He does not give notice,

He does not consult

He harvests whenever he decides.

We live in an abattoir

Moments away from the butcher’s knife

We do not have a life

We only have a moment

Life is life
