The universe is always ready to teach us a lesson.
When we are proud, it force feeds us humble pie.
When we are in love, it violently shakes us out of the stupor.
When we are happy, it injects us with disillusionment.
When we think we are successful, it points us to the quicksand beneath our feet.
When we think we are smart, it points us to our fears and many unfilled desires.
The universe has no respect for human beings.
Try to be humble and it slaps you across the face and observes if you will turn the other cheek.
Try to be positive and it pinches your nose to see if you will smile back or say “ouch”.
Try to be a somebody and watch the universe make you a nobody.
